A service of thanksgiving and remembrance
On Sunday 7th November at 4pm, Totley Rise Methodist Church held a service of thanksgiving and remembrance for those who have died recently, particularly during the pandemic.
Many of the congregation (some from other churches) had, during the last 18 months, lost family and friends locally, and across the country. In some cases due to COVID-19 restrictions they were unable to attend funerals
The special service was a time of reflection, with music and readings, helping us to recall, with thanksgiving, family and friends who have died.
During the worship there was an opportunity to light a candle in memory of those who are no longer with us. Some candles were lit by Minister Rev Gail Hunt at the request of people who were unable to come to the service.
