Quiet Garden

Part of the Quiet Garden Movement, our garden is a lovely place for peace and contemplation

Stillness and Hospitality,

Reflection and Worship

The Garden is a resource that we offer for individuals, churches and schools. People are invited to come and sit here and wonder about our creative God. It is a place to find peace in the garden's stillness, and an opportunity in the ‘busyness’ of modern life to lay down your concerns.

You can do this personally any time during daylight hours or you may want to share an experience with others by taking part in a Quiet Garden day or evening event. Events will appear on this website.

Just by being in this place we can become more in touch with the contemplative side of life and reconnect with nature. The sensory experience gained from nature can enrich our spiritual growth and development.

The History

The garden at TRM has been the backdrop for shepherds and sheep, crosses, and fun days. In 2013 TRM affiliated with the Quiet Garden Movement and have been focusing on enhancing our garden to become a place of stillness, and a place of reflection on the beauty of God’s creation.

The Quiet Garden Movement encourages the provision of places where people can set aside time for renewal, contemplation and prayer. There are currently about 300 Quiet Gardens in 18 countries, and the idea has grown to encompass quiet spaces in churches, schools, hospitals and prisons. The gardens are open to people for stillness and reflection.
